Focus on Tomorrow offers 15 high school juniors or seniors in the Miami area the opportunity to learn what it takes to produce professional media alongside an industry expert. Last session, students worked with Christina Vazquez, Field Reporter and Host of Call Christina for WPLG Channel 10. This 8 week course dives into the heart of storytelling and explains how to produce news for the 21st century. The experience not only exposes students to the high level of technology used in the field but also subjects then to the demanding deadlines of the media broadcasting industry.
The course addresses:
– How do you research a story?
– How do you conduct an interview?
– How do you use a camera to tell a story?
– How do you edit video to keep a viewer engaged?
– How do you promote a story to your audience?
WE ARE LOOKING FOR 15 STUDENTS FOR THE NEW SESSION!
